Overheard in New York
Just a few minutes ago I heard some men at the park discussing their buddy’s “lady friend.” I’ve been hearing/reading this phrase for a while now and I think its dumb. Just man up and call her your girlfriend, dude.
It’s probably being used as a polite replacement for “fuck buddy” or “friends with benefits”. I’ve never heard a guy use that as a term for someone whom they just weren’t that into, to paraphrase the ridiculous book title.
