Want a beautiful & unique Tumblr theme?
There are lots of beautiful Tumblr themes out there. Many are available when you sign up for Tumblr.
But Tumblr gives complete control & customization options as well. That’s why there is such a huge range of themes. There are more free themes out there too. Just do a google search and you’ll find them.
Lots of folks want their own unique theme but don’t have the time or the expertise to design their own.
I wanted my own unique theme too. And Bill Israel was nice enough to help me out.
And now there are more choices out there as well. The talented folks at Tumblize are now offering beautiful looking, low cost, custom Thumblr themes. Andrew Wilkinson, founder of Tumblize, emailed me this morning and told me they are open for business now.
Very cool.
$999? What a deal!
I noted that it’s a bit of a misnomer to call them “Tumblr themes”. Many of the design samples include links to pages and (substantial) content outside of Tumblr, with the Tumblr core app feeding at least some of the homepage content. You’re getting a website, not a blog template. In that case, it’s perhaps reasonable to charge $999.
However, I can’t see anyone who’s not running a business going for something like this.
