Blame all of those people.
Though the actual “cause” is that they’re ironing out a couple of lingering bugs in a software package that affects all of the bikeshare kiosks from Alta, across many cities. Bikeshare rollouts are being delayed by months everywhere. (Alta is using a new software provider after needing to hurriedly dump the old software contractor earlier this year due to fraud allegations.)
You missed when Michael Grynbaum wrote about this in detail, right? Oh, wait.
Still, blame everyone. These late bikes have destroyed New York, ban them forever.
