Haters gon hate.
That’s the thing to say when someone is being unreasonable.
The flipside is, if I were critical of a company for not having so many social events, I’d actually be unreasonable. And if I were in charge of the finances at a startup, and I not only proposed having all of these events but also funding them without sponsors, I’d be laughed out the door.
This is bad karma and bad financial management. It mimics activity from the 2000-era bubble, when the ensuing collapse was calamitous. I’m being totally fair in making this observation. They have earned this criticism. Put down the Kool Aid.
