Personally, I like the idea that capitalism run amok just leads to survival of the fittest, in a very literal sense. What about workplaces who have laid off everyone “non-essential” and “redundant”, that don’t provide benefits like sick days, that overwork everyone constantly, that punish people who miss a day or even an hour of work? What will such companies do if there’s an unexpectedly strong and contagious virus going around? They will literally die as a result of their poor behavior! They will zap themselves right out of the gene pool. The happy healthy well-staffed generous companies are the ones which will exist into the future. Very Darwinist. I like it!
